WHY Unite for Literacy?
Research from 27 countries shows a student’s success in school is linked to the number of books in a child’s home and the time spent reading books. Regardless of other factors such as ethnicity and socioeconomic status, children whose families have access to books and a daily habit of reading are primed for literacy proficiency and lifelong learning.
